A very active and prominent woman in the Maritime sector in Nigeria, Princess Victoria Ayodele Haastrup, is graduate of Business Management from the then Holborn College London.

She also studied in the following institutions of higher learning where she took professional courses:

– London Business School.

– London Corporate training Centre.

– Pitman Central College, London.

She joined the services of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) where she rose through the ranks and attained the position of Special Assistant to the Honourable Minister of Petroleum & Energy. She served NNPC meritoriously for 23 years.

Princess Haastrup is currently the Executive Vice-Chairman of ENL Consortium Ltd, the entity that manages the operations of the Terminals C & D of the Lagos port complex, Apapa.

She is also the Chairman Sea Ports Terminal Operators Association of Nigeria (STOAN), an umbrella body that comprises key operators of the sea port terminals in Nigeria.

A fellow, and currently the first female President of the Certified Institute of Shipping of Nigeria. She is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, (FCILT, FCIS ).

She holds the Doctorate Degree (DBA) in Business Administration (Honoris Causa) of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomosho, Oyo state Nigeria (April 2009).

A member of the Institute of Directors Nigeria (IOD).

She is also a recipient of several honours and awards amongst them:

  1. WILAT (Women in Logistics and Transport) Nigeria Role Model Award 2013.
  2. Global Role Model to all Women Award 2015 by Women in Logistics and transport Middle East, United Arab Emirate (UAE).
  3. Seatrade Maritime Award (Middle East and Subcontinent) 2015 United Arab Emirate. (UAE).
  4. WISTA (Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association) Personality of the Year 2018 Award.
  5. Congressional Commendation Award from the Georgia Senate. African Leadership Magazine. 2019 London, United Kingdom.

Princess (Dr) Vicky Haastrup has worked so hard to have attained an enviable position in a male dominated Maritime sector and stands out in a highly competitive environment.
