Nicole Kearse is the Director of Learning and Development for ILFA where she is responsible for the management and development of Angaza Africa Law Training, ILFA’s online training platform for lawyers.
Prior to joining ILFA, Nicole co-founded Krescent Consulting, a firm providing strategic advisory services and organizational and IT consulting to Africa’s law firms, small and medium–sized businesses, non-profit organizations and start-ups. Nicole specialises in advising law firms on how to define and meet their managerial, financial and strategic goals. She also supports corporate and non-profit clients in redefining their organizational frameworks.
Nicole previously practiced law with top global firms Shearman & Sterling, Baker & McKenzie and Curtis Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle where she advised Fortune 500 companies in the areas of finance and commercial contracts.
She also acted as the Deputy Managing Director of DaMina Advisors, an Africa-focused frontier advisory firm.
Nicole has a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center, a master of arts in law and diplomacy from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and a master of arts from Columbia University. Nicole additionally holds a bachelor of arts in history and political science from Tufts University.
