George is a triple qualified commercial litigation solicitor having been admitted in England and Wales in 1994, at the bar in New York, USA in 1995 and in New South Wales, Australia in 2003.
He is also a solicitor advocate and arbitrator. George heads CMS’ Sheffield and Manchester commercial litigation teams. In that role he runs some of the most important litigation in the UK and internationally, both for commercial organisations and for central and local Government. He acted on the judicial review of the Maastricht Treaty, the Buncefield oil depot explosion litigation, the largest ever public procurement case in the UK Courts, a set of substantial product liability claims in the asbestos industry and a case to secure legacy contracts for the Olympics.
